About This Project

The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) is the UK’s foremost membership body for the timber supply chain. Their members include timber importers, merchants, agents and manufacturers and account for around two-thirds of the £10 billion UK timber industry. TTF offers technical, trade and sustainability advice to members alongside political and industry representation – putting members at the heart of UK construction and industrial strategy.

TTF has over 125 years of heritage and expertise but moves with the times, adapting services to members in response to changes in the market, new product development and to customer needs.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

TTF were looking for a modern and efficient CRM system, without excessive licensing or consultancy fees. They wanted a more interesting website with plenty of interactivity for members. They wanted effective integrated systems for managing all commercial communications and events. It was a key requirement that the new online platform should make managing memberships and communicating with members and other site visitors easier, without repetition or error.

After reviewing the CRM marketplace we recommended Zoho for the CRM element – it ticked all the boxes technically and was the most cost-effective platform by some distance.  The new Zoho CRM proved to be a popular choice, bringing a clearer view of TTF membership and streamlining day to day admin tasks.

We built the new website in WordPress and custom built a range of interactive features to promote member engagement. This included a new member directory accessed through an interactive map with stylish profile pages for all TTF members. A members extranet was added for sharing industry data and private communications from TTF committees. Response to the new site from the membership has been overwhelmingly positive.

An emailer was integrated for member communications, with all mailing lists synchronised with Zoho. Event management was also integrated with single sign-on for easy event booking by members.
